Days have passed since my last post due to illness of my mom, but was able to get back out on my bike in Bokeelia this morning. Yesterday's rain storms cleared out the atmosphere and brought bright blue skies this morning.
I was delighted to find these two hawks perching in a tree right near my house, I've rarely seen two hawks roosting together like this! I am pretty sure they are Red Shouldered Hawks, which according to my Audubon book are 20 inches long with a wing span of 3 feet, 4 inches. Their voice is a screaming "keee yarrr"
Hope to get back into my adventures in enjoying the great outdoors in Bokeelia this week!
