Mango season started early on Pine Island this year, farm stands and front yard sales of mangos is going strong. Here are some mangos growing in my side yard.
Besides mangos, lychee also seem to be growing better this year than last. Also, thanks to lots of rain, the palm groves and bamboo groves are looking really healthy this year.
My favorite farm stand is the one at the corner of Baypoint Road and Ficus Tree Road in Bokeelia, which has a great selection of local fruits and vegetables.
