The wind field from Hurricane Sandy was so wide we had winds gusting to 40 mph yesterday, even though Sandy was hundreds of miles away. Friends took advantage of the weather to get the first wind surfing of the fall season in! Wind surfing is just one of the fun water sports you can enjoy on Pine Island, also paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, kite sailing and other boating of all kinds!
