Biking to Bokeelia the other day, I stopped to watch a pair of pileated woodpeckers intent on feeding. One of the many great things about Pine Island is the wildlife that we get to enjoy, including many many species of birds, turtles, butterflies, and also mammals such as bobcats, squirrels, rabbits and even an occasional coyote.
