Dorean not coming to Pine Island

Glad to report that the weather effects of Dorian aren't being felt on Pine Island, just a bit of wavy weather, with a stiff wind coming out of the north on Charlotte Harbor.

The wind is blowing about 12-15 mph out of the north.  When the direction of the storm was not yet clear, I stopped by the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce to see if any hurricane plans were under way.  Jennifer and the other women of the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce (www.pineislandchamber.org).  They showed me this awesome website www.windy.com that has an elaborate interactive aerial mapping feature that shows wind fields across the hemisphere.  I encourage everyone to take a look at www.windy.com.

Hoping for the best for all those effected, especially the those in the Bahamas, which is really taking a beating.
