This morning, I just managed to get in a nice bike ride through Pineland, before the rains came. The build up of thunderheads over Pine Island Sound (which is an aquatic preserve), was amazingly beautiful. Yesterday we finally did get a big rain storm, helping to make up for the very dry weather we had on Pine Island in June.
Here are some photo's of the clouds over Pine Island Sound:
The first photo is looking southwest from Pineland, towards North Captiva island. The second photo is looking northwest from Pineland, towards Useppa, Cayo Costa and Cabbage Key islands. The water in the bay was smooth as glass, making for a nice reflection of the clouds in the water.
