Cinco de Mayo on Pine Island

May 5th dawned pleasantly cool (low 60's), sunny and dry here in Bokeelia.  Here are some photo's I took on my morning bike ride.




We're so lucky to live in such a beautiful place as Pine Island.  This past weekend, I compiled the year to date statistics for home sales on Pine Island.

From January 31, 2014 to the end of April, 11 water front homes sold in Bokeelia at a median price of $325,000.  Off water, 22 single family homes in Bokeelia sold at a median price of $148,750.

In Saint James City, 25 water front home sold at a median price of $310,000.  Off water, 12 single family homes sold homes sold at a median price of $143,025.

In Matlacha, four water front homes sold at a median price of $162,350.

Island wide 41 manufactured homes sold for a median price of $110,839, and 13 condominiums sold for a median price of $191,158.

So far on Pine Island this year, 173 real estate transactions have closed, with a total dollar volume of $28,454,266.  The number of sales is up about 10% compared to the same period in 2013, and prices are up about 7.5%.
