After lots of rain in the middle of last week (up to 3.75 inches in the rain gage), this weekend has been clear, sunny and quite windy. Friends were windsurfing in Pine Island Sound, with gusts up above 20 mph, though there were some power boats out too. A pelican seemed to hydroplane on the wind above the waves, and the palm trees swayed at Tarpon Lodge.
