$27 Million in Real Estate Sales on Pine Island, First Half of 2011

Hello readers of Pine Island Times.  This morning I biked up to Bokeelia and helped herd this little nanny goat on the lam, away from Stringfellow Road, so she wouldn't get hit by a car.  Hopefully, she will find her way back into her field from which she's escaped.

Meanwhile, I've added up all the MLS real estate sales during the first six months of 2011.  A little more than $27 Million in real property has sold on Pine Island this year, representing 177 transactions.

                       25 off water homes sold, median $119,000.
                        3 condominiums sold, median $205,000.
                        2 waterfront lots sold, median $68,750.
                       16 off water lots sold, median $15,000.
                        3 manufactured homes sold, price $45,500.

In St. James City:  
                       23 water front homes sold, median $249,000.
                       13 off water homes sold, median $115,000.
                         1 condominium sold, $400,000.
                         7 water front lots sold, median $130,000.
                       12 off water lots sold, median $17,700.
                       34 manufactured homes sold, median $87,500.

 In Matlacha:   16 water front homes sold, median $266,000.
                            2 water front lots sold, average $137,500.

Island Wide:     7 duplexes sold, price $96,126.00
