This morning was humid and foggy on Pine Island, spreading a silvery light mist over Charlotte Harbor. Here are a few photos of early morning fishermen and osprey. This week brought news that there's been some improvement in the national economy and local Pine Island real estate sales seem to bear that out. There were another 5 closed sales on Pine Island this week, and a total of 54 properties on the island are now under contract. Also, in Florida, last month sale prices went up for the first time in six months. I think we are at or close to "the bottom" at least as far as waterfront home prices are concerned. Most of the properties going under contract are waterfront.
