This morning Tropical Storm Fay is inland, about 30 miles east of Ft. Myers, 45 miles east of Pine Island. We're having some blustery winds (about 30 mph) and scattered bands of rain. Lots of hurricane prep was done yesterday, but there appear to be no consequences from the storm, not even branches down.
Tropical Storms are often the equivalent of "snow days" up north, a chance to take a day off from normal responsibilities, maybe we'll go bowling or to a movie!
Here is a photo taken at sunset last night, as the storm bands were rolling in.
