This gopher tortoise, munching grass on my steet, is one of many species of native wildlife on Pine Island including: bobcats, eagles, hawks, armadillo, otters, raccoons, coyote, rabbits, snakes, lizards, frogs and toads, turtles. . .I love the local wildlife and will post pictures of same once in a while. Also, non-native species include peacocks, squirrels and feral hogs.
