It was a quiet week on Pine Island. We had the first real cold front of the season with temps dipping into the mid 40's at night. Delicious jeans and sweatshirt weather. Here are a few random scenes from around the island - An osprey preening on a Pine Tree in St. James, stonecrabs fresh off the boat on Palm Street, and one of my favorite cottages, looking out over Matlacha Bay. License plates from the mid-west, the middle Atlantic and some New Englanders are starting to show up, but still no more than a few cars are lined up at the 4-way stop coming on to the island. No stop lights on Pine Island.
