Scenes of Summer in Bokeelia

My Zimbio

I've been spending lots of time in Bokeelia, biking and paddling, the past month.  Early day bike rides to Bokeelia are great, it's not hot yet from 6 - 8 a.m.  Later in the day, the way to get some exercise with out getting too hot is go out on the water.  I've been paddle boarding out of the small marina with boat ramp at the end of Portobello Street in Bokeelia.  Fish and dolphins everywhere!  Even on the Fourth of July, the waters were serene and not crowded by boat traffic.

Here are a few scenes of summer from around Bokeelia.

As you can see the lychee and mango fruit trees are producing great volumes of fruit, the cactus flowers are blooming at night (and being pollinated by honey bees) and the water in Charlotte Harbor at the Bokeelia Pier is smooth as glass.   A client of mine who is buying a home in Bokeelia told me that Charlotte Harbor is regarded as one of the 10 best places to sail in the United States!  They built their own 30 foot sailboat.  I just updated my real estate search website, www.pineislandhomesandland.com, you can easily search all of the real estate that is for sale in the Pine Island communities of Pineland, Bokeelia, Matlacha, Saint James City and Pine Island Center.
