Pine Island Sales Mirrors National Trends

National news stories this week confirmed that the real estate sector is rebounding nationwide.  For the first time in many years, there will be in excess of $5 Million single family home sales this year.

Nationally, the median home price in January was $173,600. up 11% over the same period last year. In the Pine Island communities of Bokeelia, Saint James City and Matlacha, the median sold home price was $250,250 last month, compared to $231,750. during the same period in 2012, an increase of about 8% over the previous year.

 So it looks like smooth sailing for the real estate market in coming months, both nationally and on Pine Island.
